FAQ
What is pure honey?
Our honey is harvested straight from the hive into jars. We don’t dilute honey with syrup or imported honey.
Is there any local honey left on the Central Coast? Haven’t all local beehives all been destroyed because of the Varroa mite?
The Varroa mite red zone set up by the DPI includes a large part of the Central Coast where beehives have to be destroyed and bees are not allowed to be kept for the next 3 years.
While beehives on our farm in Ourimbah were unfortunately euthanised, we still have some hives outside the red zone in Dora Creek. And we will soon have beehives very close to our shop in Ettalong.
